Standby and prime power must perform the moment it is called upon. We test generators under load, motors and drives from insulation to vibration, and UPS and battery systems through full discharge. Then we prove transfer schemes, solar PV arrays and battery storage before they are trusted with critical loads.

FAQ
Questions, answered
Why load bank test a generator that already runs?
A no-load run proves very little. A load bank applies controlled, measurable load so we can verify output, voltage and frequency regulation, response to load steps and cooling performance. It also helps clear the unburnt fuel deposits (wet stacking) that light-load running builds up in diesel engines.
How do you test a UPS battery's real capacity?
Impedance or conductance readings are a quick screening tool, but only a timed discharge test proves capacity. We discharge the string at a defined rate, log cell or block voltages throughout, and calculate capacity against the manufacturer's data and the applicable IEEE method.
What does PV commissioning to IEC 62446-1 include?
It covers inspection of the installation, protective earthing and bonding continuity, polarity, string open-circuit voltage and current, functional tests and array insulation resistance. Depending on scope, we add I-V curve tracing and infrared thermography for a deeper look at module performance.
Can you test motors and drives before the driven equipment is ready?
Yes. Uncoupled runs are a standard step in commissioning: we check rotation, no-load current, vibration and bearing temperatures with the motor uncoupled. Key checks are then repeated coupled and under process load once the mechanical system is ready.
